About Me
Hello! I'm Cassie, a recent graduate from Northwestern University
interested in understanding how our built and natural environments
influence health and wellbeing. Specifically, I am passionate about
exploring how climate resiliency initiatives can enhance public health
outcomes.
I aim to integrate geospatial and machine learning techniques with
laboratory analysis of biomarkers to understand how our
everyday environments impact growth and development, aging, and overall wellbeing.
Currently, I am working as a Research Study Assistant at the Laboratory for Human
Biology Research and the Horton Research Group at Northwestern University. My
work involves testing various field-friendly capillary blood collection devices to
assess biomarkers of inflammation and exploring how walking in built and natural
environments impacts cardiometabolic outcomes in pre-diabetic individuals.
